Religious Studies Curriculum Intent

Religious Studies offers our students the opportunity to study different beliefs and practices and develop a greater understanding and acceptance of others. Our students will debate ethical and philosophical issues, enhance their critical thinking and flair, interpretation and literacy skills and acquire a depth of knowledge of different religions as well as other topical issues, all of which are essential for ensuring our students are well-equipped for their future careers. Furthermore, Religious Studies helps students to develop their character by establishing their own beliefs and identities as well as their rights and responsibilities towards others, helping them to become good citizens in a rapidly changing, multi-cultural society.
