Curriculum Intent Geography

We would like our Geography students to be literate, analytical and inquisitive in order to make links between the processes occurring in both the human and physical world. We believe that our students should be able to identify and solve problems using a range of skills and be able to present/communicate their evidence in a literate and numerate way.

Through providing a coherent, rigorous and appropriate curriculum we will ensure that no child is left behind. We would like our students to be able to think about ways to adapt to a changing world and use their imagination to make decisions on the future of our planet.

Our geography curriculum will provide students with opportunities to build their character outside of the classroom and experience the awe and wonder of the world around them, whilst also providing them with the knowledge (above and beyond the NC) and skills, which will equip them for their lifelong learning journey.
