MFL Curriculum Intent Statement

Within the MFL Faculty we aim to develop students who are able to speak spontaneously and write with flair. A strong focus on oracy in lessons gives students oral confidence and self-belief while building their resilience through trial and error and a ‘have a go’ attitude.

A rigorous approach to a wide variety of retrieval activities, along with the support offered by the extensive use of Sentence Builders, allows all students to feel supported and enables success for every child. These skills, when reinforced across a broad curriculum, will give students excellent cultural capital and prepare them for the demands of an increasingly globalised world.
